As we seek to train and equip Christian International students to be disciple makers in their spheres of influence we also want to train up Christian American or international students to be trained and equipped in international student ministry. Many ISMs have American or international students who are involved, who volunteer or who intern. World Changers is now offering training for these students in our ministries to take the next step in ISM, whether that is volunteering, interning or considering coming on staff. These students will receive training on cross cultural ministry, basics of ISM and discipling international students.
We know that lasting change doesn't come from a 1 week conference, that is why this conference is also for you, the referrer. We believe mentorship is an important component to help move students towards lasting change. If you are not already in a mentorship/discipleship relationship with the American or international student you are referring, we ask that you begin meeting regularly with your student for at least one semester post conference. During the conference, you will meet daily with your student to help them process what they are learning.
Next Gen ISM students will be in a lifegroup together that will meet with the other mentor lifegroups after each session to process with peers how they can grow in their involvement with ISM.
We are inviting Next Gen ISM students based on staff/min rep/volunteer referrals. A referral application as well as a student application must be filled out in order for our team to review and make a decsion. We have limited space for Next Gen ISM students and will only be accepting 8 students this year.
Please send the Next Gen ISM student application to your student for them to fill out. Make sure they have the Next Gen ISM student application and not the international student application.
